What you get
Six things a reputable contractor can actually use.
Payment certainty
Every stage carries an agreed definition and an agreed evidence checklist, so “is it complete?” has an answer before it becomes an argument.
Independent verification
Request an independent assessment of whether the defined milestone appears to have been achieved, remotely or on site.
Evidence collection
Timestamped photographs, video, inspection records, certificates and declarations captured as the job runs.
Builder credentials
A verified profile carrying the checks you have actually supplied evidence for, before the project begins.
Dispute prevention
A contemporaneous record, so evidence exists before the disagreement rather than after it.
Protected Projects
Something tangible to offer a homeowner: your project will be independently documented through Builder Standard.
Protected Project
Give the homeowner a reason to choose you.
A Protected Project uses structured milestones, verified project evidence and access to independent milestone verification. It increases homeowner confidence and protects the contractor at the same time.
Builder Standard
Protected Project
- Structured contractual milestones
- Agreed completion criteria per stage
- Timestamped, structured project evidence
- Access to independent milestone verification

Project Passport
Builder Standard covers the build. Project Passport keeps the history.
Builder Standard and Project Passport are separate sister platforms. Builder Standard deals with the construction event: trust, evidence and independent verification. Project Passport maintains the property’s long-term digital record. In future, verified construction records will be transferable, with appropriate permissions, into a property’s Project Passport at completion.
